This will fit in a 1.25″ class 1 hitch without modification. 30 minute gathering is a simple, one self job (with metric wrenches).

Best price carrier. One of the few for 1&1/4 receiver. Adapter for 2″ is just a plastic spacer. Used it for a few trips with a max of 150lb and it has a bend to it now so I wouldn’t trust any more weight than that.

Save yourself some time and money… go to Harbor Freight, August 5, 2014

This looked like a excellent buy–a name brand carrier for $87. Unfortunately, it was missing the specialty washers that were part of the gathering. It also required assembling 6 V-shaped supports to bottom platform and upper rails and then bolting the tube/shaft to the platform. Lots of nuts and bolts and small washers. Too terrible the specialty washers were missing. Rather than fully assemble it, I chose to ship the whole thing back. Fortunately, while waiting for it to turn up, I saw that our local Harbor Freight store had a similar one on sale for $45 (around $60 off the regular price). I bought that one, just in case, and even with the additional hold of a 1.25 to 2″ adaptor, I saved about $30. And it only took about 10 minutes to place together and hook up. (It took at least 10 minutes just to sort the parts for the Curt model.) The Curt carrier is a small bit deeper, but the Harbor Freight Haul Master was a time and money saver.
