I am extremely impressed with the Mo+m Carrier baby sling. It is well-crafted, yet lightweight, offering multiple places to store items such as bottles, bibs, diapers, and most baby and kid necessities. I was able to quickly place it on and safely secure my nine-month-ancient son. He was in his glory resting comfortably against my chest as we took a quick stroll (using it for the first time). The way the carrier is constructed deflected the weight from my back, which is sensitive after many years of weightlifting. The arm straps are thick and did not house any strain on my shoulders. What’s really nice is that it did not require my husband to get the baby out of it! The last carrier we had was so clunky, it took two people to operate. Also having a two-year-ancient who likes to run, a baby carrier/sling is a must. I only have two hands! And this frees them both up. It’s a perfect addition to our family tree! Really, completely impressed and highly recommend this carrier! We’ll be using it soon at the Maine Lobster Festival!

I guess you could say I’m something of a baby carrier connoisseur. I own several different types from the very simple long strips of fabric that you intricately tie around yourself to make a sling to the highly structured, framed hiking backpacks. With both my boys I found them to be indispensable. The Mo+M carrier is certainly one of my favorites, especially for the larger babies and toddlers. My boys were both very heavy very ahead of schedule so having a carrier which was both portable and comfortable to carry a child 20+ pounds was vital to me.

The shoulder straps are made of a soft material and very well padded, meaning I don’t lose circulation to my arms while carrying my kid on my back, but it fits snugly enough that I don’t feel like he’s going to slip out when I have to bend over to help his brother tie his shoes.

Two of my favorite features of this carrier are snuggly tucked away in the sleek zipper pouches. First, there is a handy house to zip up any belongings you might have so you’re not forced to lug a purse around with you. The pouch is large enough to fit your keys and phone without feeling bulky. This is a figure that I felt was lacking in many of the other carriers I’ve tried. It’s not simple to sling a purse across your shoulders while carrying a baby.

My other favorite figure, which I also feel is quite unique to this product, is the venting window. Just below the zipper pouch is another flap that when fully unzipped folds down to reveal a mesh backing to allow maximum air flow between the pack and your baby on hot days. My kids are both very temperature sensitive and tend to run hot so having a way to cool them off in the summer is really helpful. But unlike the all-mesh slings, the venting window can be closed in the chill allowing for all-weather use. There is also a fantastic small sun hood made of the same, soft, breathable material to protect babies from the sun while they are sleeping.

Not only is the Mo+M carrier comfortable to carry babies as well as toddlers in multiple positions (front, hip, back) it is also a well thought out and researched product that I believe competes very well with products like Baby Bjorn.

I’m expecting my third baby in Development so I am very excited to try it out with an infant as well.

As an faithful ErgoBaby user for six years, I was not 100% confident that the Mo+m carrier would fill the Ergo’s “shoes” when I was offered the chance to try the Mo+m carrier for free. What follows is my unbiased assess of the carrier! First of all, if you are used to the Ergo or some other soft-structured carrier, then the Mo+m carrier will feel familiar to you. There are a few differences, but, that make give it an advantage over other carriers. First of all, the carrier is lighter. It is 100% cotton and less bulky. An older baby can be heavy, and the lighter the carrier itself, the better for your back! I wore this carrier around the household and around town for a few hours, with no back ache. Other carriers usually made my back hurt after thirty minutes or so. Second, I have hot babies that I lovingly call “sweat buckets” so I really appreciate the mesh panel in the front that allows for airflow (just unzip the pocket panel and tuck it into the slot at the bottom to reveal the mesh panel). Speaking of the panel, it is narrower, so for my small baby, that was fantastic since wider front panels dug into the bottoms of his thighs. I felt really secure in the carrier, thanks to the two-part buckle. It took a few tries to get the hang of pressing the button and squeezing the sides to relief the buckle but otherwise, it is simple to do with one hand. I also liked that the carrier was comfortable for my husband, who is a huge guy. The waist is large enough for both of us to use without a waist extender. I tried the carrier in the forward-facing position, which my son liked for a small while and was a bit of an adjustment for me, since I have never used a Bjorn or other forward-facing carrier. But I liked having the option, which wasn’t available to me with the Ergo. The sleeping hood is super soft and light, which is fantastic for my aforementioned “sweatbuckets.” :) It is also removable, which I also appreciate. Overall, this carrier certainly earns its 5 star assess. I will use this as my primary carrier, and save my ancient carrier as a back-up.
